Wisdom International recently had it's first website visitor from North Korea. 

Introduction to North Korea:

North Korea, officially known as the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), is one of the most isolated and repressive countries in the world. Governed by a strict totalitarian regime, the population of over 25 million people lives under intense government control, with no religious freedom and severe penalties for any expression of faith. The gospel is outlawed, and Christians are heavily persecuted—often imprisoned, tortured, or even executed for their faith. Yet despite unimaginable hardship, the underground church continues to exist. These faithful believers are a living testimony of courage and commitment to Christ. Let’s lift up North Korea in prayer, asking God to break through the darkness with the light of His truth.

Call to Action:

This week, we ask you to pray for North Korea. Pray for God to comfort and strengthen persecuted believers, to bring justice and freedom, and to open the hearts of the North Korean people to the saving message of Jesus Christ.

Ways to Pray for North Korea:

1. Pray for persecuted believers, that they would be protected, strengthened, and filled with courage.

2. Ask God to sustain the underground church, giving believers boldness and wisdom as they share their faith in secret.

3. Pray for those imprisoned for their faith, that God would comfort them and use their testimony to draw others to Christ.

4. Intercede for the North Korean government, asking God to break the grip of oppression and bring about righteous leadership.

5. Pray for the people of North Korea, that they would hear the gospel and place their faith in Jesus.

6. Lift up secret Bible distribution efforts, that God would protect those involved and multiply His Word across the nation.

7. Ask God to raise up future leaders from within the nation who will follow Him and lead with justice and compassion.

8. Pray for neighboring countries, especially South Korea and China, that they would be wise and courageous in supporting North Korean believers.

9. Lift up Christian ministries working along the border, that they would have divine opportunities to share hope and truth.

10. Pray for spiritual awakening, that entire communities in North Korea would come to know Christ even under persecution.

11. Ask God to frustrate the plans of evil, and to protect His people from betrayal, harm, and surveillance.

12. Pray for the day when the church in North Korea can worship freely, and that many would come to faith when that door opens.

Conclusion:

Thank you for praying with us for North Korea this week. Though the nation is closed to the gospel, God is not hindered. He sees every hidden believer and hears every silent prayer. Let’s continue to stand in faith, asking God to bring freedom, justice, and a mighty harvest of souls in North Korea.
