I Know My Rights!

There have been a lot of changes, conflicts and frustration along the subject of voting rights throughoutthe years. Voting rights have been granted and rescinded, restricted and loosened with catches andloopholes abounding among the states. What most people do not know or understand, however, is thatwe, as citizens, have no constitutional right to vote for President of these United States.

WHAT!?!

People love to say, with conviction, “I know my rights!”, but most of them don’t have any idea of whattheir rights are. There are a lot of assumptions about their constitutional rights, mostly from listening toother peoples’ rants about civil rights instead of reading the US Constitution themselves.

Each State had their own rules about who could vote

The constitution has a lot of phrases, clauses and amendments expressly stating way that people cannot be denied the right to vote because of race (effective 1870) or gender (effective 1920). Anyone over 18 years old can vote for their state legislators, the house members and senators, but the Constitution never explicitly ensures the right of the people to vote for President except for citizens of Washington DC.

Not everyone wanted equal voting rights.

The Constitution does require that Representatives be chosen and Senators be elected by “the People.” Aside from these requirements, though, the qualifications for voters are left to the states. Over theyears the make up of “The People” has been changed many times to include or exclude people that thestates have decided. As long as the qualifications do not conflict with anything in the Constitution, thatright can be withheld. For example, in Texas, persons declared mentally incompetent and felonscurrently in prison or on probation are denied the right to vote.

Everything changes with time

It is interesting to note that though the26th Amendment requires that 18-year-olds must be able to vote, states can allow persons youngerthan 18 to vote, if they chose to. Originally, every free person over 18 had a vote, but some statesexcluded women or blacks, or Native Americans or Asians or Catholics. Eventually, however, all thestates have included these groups.

Do you know your constitutional rights? You may be surprised to find out that you don’t know as muchas you think you know. Continue reading

Are Republicans More Patriotic Than Democrats?

ARE REPUBLICANS MORE PATRIOTIC THAN DEMOCRATS?

Let’s start with the words, “Republican” and “Democrat”. The founding fathers of

this representative republic saw democracy as the worst evil that could befall a

free country.

Republicans are for the good of the republic.

Democrats are for democracy, which is mob rule.

Democracy is described as two wolves and a sheep voting on what to eat for

supper.

Republicans believe in the Constitution of the United States, which is the basis for

our laws. A country without laws would fall quickly.

Democrats believe that laws should be flexible, that we should just kind of ignore

the laws we don’t like. Your beloved ruler, Barry O. ignores a LOT of our laws and

makes up several of his own laws, even though our U.S. Constitution does not

allow him that power. The liberal Supreme court also makes up new laws even

though the US Constitution does not allow them that power either.

Constitutionally, our federal government is WAY bigger than it should be, but has

been grown large in order to pander to special interest groups and organized

crime, (labor unions).

Example: The Department of Education. Totally worthless but set up to make

money for teacher union crime bosses. The states are supposed to be in charge of

their own education systems, as it used to be. Now, to stroke union bosses, there

is a National, and totally useless, Department of Education. We, the citizens of

each city, county and state, are charged a school tax. The school tax is collected

and sent to Washington to the Department of Education. The money filters around

there, the labor bosses get their cut, Then SOME of the money is sent back to the

states to support their schools. No sense in that and no constitutional basis for it,

but it keeps the union bosses rich and ensures that they will deliver votes to

Democrat candidates. (How many of you are aware that classes are being held in

mobile trailors instead of brick and mortar classrooms?)

Add in the Department of Energy, The Air Marshal Service, The Commerce

Department, The Interagency Trade Enforcement Center, The U.S. Department

of Agriculture, The Securities Exchange Commission, U.S. Election Assistance

Commission, Affirmative Civil Enforcement “ACE”, HUD and so many more that I

don’t want to waste time and space here. These are all completely supeflouous

agencies whose functions are either redundant, uncessessary or can be done

much more efficiently at the state level.

I have heard charges of conservative “name calling”, but that is the primary tool

of the left. Whenever a liberal is confronted with cold hard facts or logic, they

start screaming senseless words they have had drilled into them by the liberal

media.

“FASCIST!”,”NAZI!”, and their favorite, “RACIST!” (Printed in all capitals because

these words must always screamed by the rabid left) , I believe the worst name I

have heard a conservative call anyone is “liberal” or maybe “Democrat.” Show me

examples of conservatives calling names anywhere NEAR the names liberals call

conservatives. Please, if you are going to accuse, show me FACTS, not opinions. I

realize the concept of facts is pretty foreign to most liberals, but give it a try.

Reality isn’t really that scary.

Back to the original unsupported charges concerning patriotism…

Lets go to Websters…

1.a person who loves, supports, and defends his or her country and its interests

with devotion.

2.a person who regards himself or herself as a defender, especially of individual

rights, against presumed interference by the federal government.

Let’s go to Wikipedia…

Patriots (also known as American Whigs, Revolutionaries, Congress-Men or

Rebels) is a name often used to describe the colonists of the British Thirteen

United Colonies who rebelled against British control during the American

Revolution. It was their leading figures who, in July 1776, declared the United

States of America an independent nation. Their rebellion was based on the

political philosophy of republicanism, as expressed by pamphleteers, such as

Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton, and Thomas Paine.

(Pamphleteers is colonialists version of bloggers)

As a group, Patriots represented an array of social, economic, ethnic and racial

backgrounds. They included college students like Alexander Hamilton; planters like

Thomas Jefferson; merchants like Alexander McDougall; lawyers like John Adams;

and plain farmers like Daniel Shays and Joseph Plumb Martin.

They are also the ones who conducted the Boston Tea Party, who oppose

oppressive taxation without representation. Our modern patriotic Tea Party

Members are also fighting against oppressive taxation without representation,

since our representatives are more committed to representing special interests

and Union members than they are about representing We, The People.

Liberal Democrats, however, are all for oppressive taxation, as it gives them more

money with which to buy the votes of Unions. It also supports the worship of

Obama as “Sort of a god”

My conclusion is, YES! Conservatives and TEA Party members ARE more patriotic

than liberal Democrats. There is a lot more I could say here, but I welcome any

LOGICAL and non-hysteric, name calling responses or criticisms to what I have

said here.

The Illegal Invasion Of America

>> This is a good one!!!!!!!!!!! This came from a Newsmax.com story. I inserted a article from the Tucson Citizen from Jan 16, 2009. If you think something needs to be done about illegal immigration please read.

> The shoe is on the other foot and the Mexicans from Sonora don’t like it. Can you believe the nerve of these people? It’s almost funny.

> State of Sonora is angry at Influx of Mexicans into Mexico. Nine state legislators from the Mexican state of Sonora traveled to Tucson to complain about Arizona ‘s new employer crackdown on illegals from Mexico . It seems that many Mexican illegals are now returning to their hometowns and the officials in the Sonora state government are ticked off about it. A delegation of nine state legislators from Sonora was in Tucson on Tuesday to say Arizona’s new employer sanctions law will have a devastating effect on the Mexican state.

> At a news conference, the legislators said Sonora – Arizona’s southern neighbor, made up of mostly small towns – cannot handle the demand for housing, jobs and schools it will face as illegal Mexican workers here return to their hometowns without jobs or money. The law, which took effect Jan.1, punishes employers who knowingly hire individuals who don’t have valid legal documents to work in the United States. Penalties include suspension of, or loss of, their business license. The Mexican legislators are angry because their own citizens are returning to their hometowns, placing a burden on their state government.

> ‘How can they pass a law like this?’ asked Mexican Rep. Leticia Amparano-Gamez, who represents Nogales . ‘There is not one person living in Sonora who does not have a friend or relative working in Arizona ,’ she said, speaking only in Spanish. ‘Mexico is not prepared for this, for the tremendous problems it will face as more and more Mexicans working in Arizona and sending money to their families return to hometowns in Sonora without jobs,’ she said. ‘We are one family, socially and economically,’ she said of the people of Sonora and Arizona.

Why Raise The Debt Ceiling?

[src:’http://youtu.be/OqWB1TrvYJM’,width:’100′,height:’100′]

The ANNUAL, interest alone will be in excess of $100,000,000,000.

After being unemployed for the past two years as a direct result of the actions and decisions of America’s ruler, Barak Hussein Obama, I finally got some work. That’s why I haven’t been writing for a couple of weeks. (It’s easier to write steadily on a blog when you don’t have a job to go to.) Sometimes, however, something comes up that makes you forget about the weird hours you are working and how tired you are after spending your day working in the sun. It makes you stop and pay attention when you hear something on the radio that will effect your life and the lives of your family, your children, your grand children and maybe even their grand children. It makes you angry when the people you hired to do a job have turned against your best interests to serve their own interests. Let’s get into details…

With a debt ceiling of 14 trillion, he wants to make it 16 trillion

I, and millions of others, voted for conservative Congressmen and Senators and sent them to Washington to do a job. Their job was to stop the outrageous spending and bring some fiscal sense and responsibility back to the government of our country. Many freshman Congressmen and women were elected on a platform of cutting taxes, cutting spending and smaller government. Some of them are working hard toward that goal… others are fraternizing with the enemy, thinking they need to go along to get along.

Socialism has only been a failure all around the world because the right people weren’t in charge…

Some are running scared of the liberals in the congress and senate. They are afraid that if the United States has our credit rating lowered, the blame will go to the Republicans for causing the downgrade. They are afraid they won’t get re-elected if that happens. (Democrats and their minions in the media will certainly try to blame them)

Wrong Answer.

If they fold and capitulate, fail to hold the line against this socialist administration, fail to do what we, the people, elected them to do, they will not be re-elected by the people who voted for them in 2010.

Karl Marx… Obama’s Inspiration

The blame, in truth, falls squarely on the shoulders of the man who wanted to “fundamentally change America”. He has been successful in his goal. Unprecedented unemployment, aggressive and progressive tax hikes (as recommended in “The Communist Manifesto”), seizure of banks and industries, proclaiming that the free market, the market that made America the greatest nation in the world, is the enemy, is definitely a fundamental changing of America. The people who create jobs are demonized, while the people who don’t really want jobs are given a free ride. While 50% of Americans now pay no taxes, those who make 200K or more per year are demonized and labelled as “Millionaires and Billionaires” and have to carry the entire tax burden. (My daughter’s business grossed a little over 300K last year, but that supports her immediate family and the families of her employees. She and her husband are nowhere near being millionaires)

OK…

So Obama and the Democrats want to raise the debt ceiling by another two trillion dollars. Why?

Just looking back over the past couple of years, the reason is obvious… it is solely for the purpose of digging America deeper into debt and “fundamentally changing” America. The deeper in debt he can put America, the weaker he makes America in the world. He has said in the past that there is nothing special about America and that America has been arrogant. I believe that anyone who wants to be the President of the United States of America should at least LIKE America. He should also have, at least a small idea about economics. No one has ever borrowed and spent their way out of debt. He wants to raise the debt ceiling so he can borrow more and continue to spend, and the more he spends, the more burden is placed on future generations. The debt will never be paid off in ANY of our lifetimes.

Now up over 12 million jobs have disappeared the past 2 years

When the leadership of this country has no desire, whatsoever, to pay off the national debt, when all income to the government goes to more spending instead of balancing the budget, when all they want to do is borrow more and use the money to buy votes, then it is time to get rid of those leaders. Thomas Jefferson said that there should be a revolution at least every twenty years or so to keep government from becoming too powerful and corrupt. I say the revolution is long passed due. I’m not talking about grabbing guns and torches and pitchforks and heading for Washington. I’m talking about a revolution at the ballot box in 2012. Check the voting record of your Congressmen and Senators before you go to the polls. (Do a Google search. Enter the person’s name plus the words “voting record”) If your Congressman or Senator voted to raise your taxes, voted to put America deeper into debt, voted for special interests instead of the voter’s interest, VOTE THEM OUT!

Remember: Capitalism may be the unequal distribution of wealth, but socialism is the equal distribution of poverty, and socialism is running rampant in our government.

Second Amendment Rant

Second Amendment Rant
Posted 4/10/2011 @ 2:11:20 pm by rainboreview.com

Small | Medium | Large

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

(The Second Amendment to the US Constitution)

So… what does this mean to you and me and the average American citizen? It means that you, as a citizen, have a right to own and use firearms, for defense of your self and family, to hunt for food and to help, with your neighbors, be the last line of defense in the event of another nation attacking our own.

Although positioned second in the bill of rights, this right to keep and bear arms is actually first among equals. Without this right, we wouldn’t have the others and we would still be subject to the rule of the monarchy in England. Yes, if there had been “gun control” back in 1776 the citizens and patriots of the time would not have had the means to secure our freedom.

Oppressive regimes throughout just the past century have first sought to find and remove weapons from the hands of the citizenry before making radical change and oppressing the people.

Check out these facts…

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
——————————

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
——————————

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
——————————

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.
——————————

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
——————————

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
——————————

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
__________

Before WWII started, Hilter explained why he made it illegal for Jews to have guns and why he had to confiscate them….

“The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing.”

– Adolf Hitler

(Another quote, many people like to reference and attribute to Hitler is the following:

This year will go down in history! For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration! Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!

As dramatic as it seems, It has been proven to be bogus.)

(Just something to think about. You may not want a gun in your house, but you might be glad you neighbor has one in his.)

Again, why the controversy?

Liberals in politics almost invariably want to restrict gun ownership among the citizens. They say that guns cause crime or that you are more likely to shoot yourself or a family member if you have a gun in your home. Each time there is a shooting or a mass killing, they stand in front of the TV cameras and cry that we need more gun control. Even worse is when they say they want to outlaw all guns in the country, sure that taking guns out of the hands of citizens would end gun violence.

Every statistic proves them to be fools.

A few more facts…

Fact: The murder rates in many nations were ALREADY LOW BEFORE enacting gun control. Thus, their restrictive laws cannot be credited with lowering their crime rates.

Fact: Gun control has done nothing to keep crime rates from rising in many of the nations that have imposed severe firearms restrictions.

* Australia: Readers of the USA Today newspaper discovered in 2002 that, “Since Australia’s 1996 laws banning most guns and making it a crime to use a gun defensively, armed robberies rose by 51%, unarmed robberies by 37%, assaults by 24% and kidnappings by 43%. While murders fell by 3%, manslaughter rose by 16%.”

* Canada: After enacting stringent gun control laws in 1991 nd 1995, Canada has not made its citizens any safer. “The contrast between the criminal violence rates in the United States and in Canada is dramatic,” says Canadian criminologist Gary Mauser in 2003. “Over the past decade, the rate of violent crime in Canada has increased while in the United States the violent crime rate has plummeted.”

* England: According to the BBC News, handgun crime in the United Kingdom rose by 40% in the two years after it passed its draconian gun ban in 1997

So… Either the left wants to oppress or slaughter a group of people they don’t like, or they want our crime rate to rise so we can keep up with the rest of the world. What do YOU think? Continue reading
